Blues Among Us Project - April 12, 2006

I'm pretty excited about finally starting to transfer my MANY live recordings of the band Blues Among Us that I co-led in San Francisco with my good friend Ron Stallings. These were recorded on a little cassette player so the quality isn't the greatest but I want to have this music out in the world anyway. It was a really fun band that played a lot but never recorded. The song "Any Old Way" is up on my music page.

Photos of Concert - April 1, 2006

Here's a link to some nice photos that were taken at our concert the other day.

Concert at the Y - March 20, 2006

I wanted to thank everyone who came to the show yesterday at the Y in Washington Heights. We had a great time and I plan to continue the project in the future. We also videotaped the show so hopefully I can put some of it up on the site.

Ron Stallings - March 13, 2006

My good friend Ron Stallings is going through a tough time with some health related problems. Ron is a wonderful Saxophone player and singer and human being. He and I co-led the band The Blues Among Us back when I lived in San Francisco. It was a great great experience and I hope to eventually put out some of the live tapes that we made. Ron is just one of the most loving, warm, caring and giving people I have ever known. I'm sending him all the positive energy I can and I hope you will too.

Concert March 19 - March 10, 2006

I'm excited about my concert coming up March 19 at the YMHA/YWHA in Washington Heights (see calendar page for details). It's called "Thank You New Orleans" and will feature my personal narrative of discovery of New Orleans music. We'll be playing songs by The Meters, Professor Longhair, Aaron Neville, and others as well as some of my tunes that are influenced by New Orleans.

I'll be singing and playing guitar along with a great band that features Jen Chapin, Stephan Crump, Scott Neumann and Dan Stein. Hope to see you there!
